WAIT, WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT?
As of Today the regular WordTornado has been updated to WordTornado Energy Beta. A game that still has the same tile-grabbing, word-forming gameplay you know and love, but adds a little twist. Instead of using GamePoint Coins to play and earning more GamePoint Coins when you win, you’ll receive energy which you use to play and you’ll receive Gems if you win AND if you lose!
ENERGY?
Yes, energy. You’ll have an energy meter that depletes when you play games and refills with time. This means that, instead of the daily Coin gift, you’ll receive energy constantly throughout the day. If you play a game or two in the morning and return in the evening, your energy will be full again and you’ll be able to play some more games. FOR FREE!
As you progress in level, you’ll get your energy faster and your maximum amount of energy will increase, allowing you to play more games in a row.
WHAT IF I RUN OUT?
When you run out of energy, you can do three things: You can wait, you can ask your friends for energy OR you can refill your energy using Gold Bars. Gold Bars can be bought using real money, they can be earned at some points in the game and you can convert your existing GamePoint Coins into Gold Bars.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH GEMS?
I’m glad you asked! Gems are what the new WordTornado Energy Beta is all about. You receive Gems for winning a game, but you’ll also receive (fewer) Gems when losing a game. You use Gems to activate perks like the eraser or the tile-bag peek, but you can also use Gems to get special new tile-designs which will allow you to stand out from the crowd as you play your favorite word game.
CAN I ONLY GET TILE-DESIGNS WITH GEMS?
Nope. When you finish a game you have a chance of finding a random piece of a collection. You turn in collections to receive free gifts like tile-designs, Gems and, occasionally, Gold Bars.
We understand that these are some pretty major changes, but we’re confident that these changes are improvements. Our aim is to make WordTornado the best word game out there and we’re counting on your feedback and help in the coming months to make that happen.
