Playing one VS one on GamePoint is fun, but playing against two or three other players is way more challenging! Have you ever tried it? If so you know that winning such a game is not only extremely satisfying, but it also gives you the thrill of winning higher amounts of coins than playing with only one opponent.

We have made some changes to make playing the 3 and 4 player games more interesting and reward the real winners with a lot MORE COINS!

Here’s how it works:

• When playing against 2 opponents in a 3 player game before our recent changes, the winner would share a portion of his winnings with the player who came in second. The one who comes in second won an amount of coins that did not even cover his expenses to actually play the game. That really, really does not feel like winning at all. The player who came in first also had to see a portion of his winnings go to a player who actually lost the game. That’s a bit of a downer actually. Therefore we altered the winnings for a 3 player game so that the REAL WINNER of the game would benefit more from his accomplishment.
  
  The winner in a game with 3 players will now get ALL THE WINNINGS instead of sharing it with players who actually lost the game.
  
  
• Playing against 3 opponents in a 4 player game requires more effort, the game tends to last longer and is even more challenging than a game with just 2 opponents. These games always have one REAL WINNER, but coming in second is not that bad either and will be rewarded. Before our recent changes the players who came in second and third would share some of the winnings. Rewarding someone who comes in third in a 4 player game is the same as rewarding someone who is second in a 3 player game. Therefore only the players who come in first and second in a 4 player game will, from now on, receive a portion of the winnings.
  
  This means that if you come in second you no longer get a small portion of the winnings that do not even cover your expenses, but instead you will win back your entire stake. A decent reward for someone who did not actually win the game, but performed well enough to get some coins nevertheless.

So we now give players who actually came in first or second in a game with three or four players MORE COINS than before by altering the way we divide the winnings of a game. These changes are now live in RoyalDice, and will also be implemented in other games with two and three opponents.
